This explains what I collect on bellebucket.com, why, and what you can do about it. Belle Bucket is run by me, Amy O'Neal, a sole proprietor in Utah. If you have a question this doesn't answer, just email me.
When you place an order, I collect your email, the items you type into your list, and whatever name you give me for the design (like a family name). If you sign up for emails, I collect your email, sometimes your first name, and which page you signed up from.
If you make an account, I collect your name, email, and a password (stored encrypted, I never see it), plus anything you save in your account: lists, trips, cards you track in the Points Room, journal notes. If you buy a guide, I keep a record of what you bought so it stays unlocked for you.
I don't collect or see your card number. Payment goes straight through Stripe, and Stripe handles that information, not me.
Like most websites, the site also collects basic usage data automatically: pages visited, device type, rough location from your IP address, and how you got here.
I don't sell your information. I don't hand your email to anyone to market their own stuff to you.
These companies hold or process your data on my behalf, and each has its own privacy policy for how they secure it. Webflow hosts the site. Order and list information passes through Formspree, the form service that lands orders in my inbox. Accounts, purchases, saved lists, and email signups are stored with Supabase. Payment runs through Stripe. Emails (freebies, receipts, proofs, the weekly email) are sent through Resend. Images are served by Cloudinary. If you connect a bank to Belle Budget, Plaid handles that connection and the transaction data that comes back.
The site uses cookies and browser storage to keep you logged in, remember that you closed the signup popup, save your progress in the Points Room, and measure how the site is doing. It also runs the Meta (Facebook and Instagram) Pixel and the Pinterest Tag, which record page visits and purchases so I can see whether my ads work and show ads to people who've been here before.
You can clear or block cookies in your browser; accounts and saved lists won't work without them. To opt out of Meta's ad tracking use your Facebook ad settings or optout.aboutads.info. To opt out of Pinterest's, use your Pinterest privacy settings. The site doesn't respond to browser Do Not Track signals because there's no agreed standard for them; the opt-outs above work instead.

Belle Bucket is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. Credit card links in the Points Room may be referral links that earn me points or a bonus if you're approved. Clicking an affiliate link doesn't send me your personal information.
This site is for the grown-ups planning the lists, not for kids. I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you think a kid gave me their info, email me and I'll delete it.
Want your email off the list? Use the unsubscribe link in any email, or email me and I'll take you off. Want to know what I have on file for you, or want it deleted? Email me and I will, account and all. I keep purchase records as long as I'm required to for taxes.
Belle Budget can connect to your bank and credit card accounts so your transactions come in on their own instead of you typing them. That connection runs through Plaid. This is exactly what happens.
When you connect an account, Plaid's own window opens and you type your bank login into Plaid, not into Belle Bucket. I never see your bank username or password and neither does my code. Plaid hands back a token that lets Belle Budget read that account, and that token is stored in a table that only my server function can read. It can't be read from the browser, by you or by anybody else.
What I do with it: put those transactions into your budget so they sort themselves into categories. Nothing else. I don't sell it, I don't share it, I don't use it for advertising, and it never touches the Meta Pixel or the Pinterest tag.
How long I keep it: as long as the account is connected. Disconnect a bank inside Belle Budget and the token is deleted and nothing new comes in. Email me and I'll delete the stored transactions too, or your whole account, whichever you want. Either way it's gone, not archived.
You can also see and revoke Belle Budget's access from Plaid's own portal at my.plaid.com, independently of me.
Passwords are hashed and I never see them. Payments run through Stripe. The whole site runs on HTTPS. Your budget data sits in a database where every row is locked to your own account, and bank connection tokens sit in a table that nothing but my server function can read. You can turn on two step sign in from your account, and if you've connected a bank I'd tell you to. No system is perfect, but I use real tools and I don't store what I don't need.
If I make a real change to how I collect or use information, I'll update the date at the top of this page. If it's a big change I'll say so in the weekly email.
