Okay so I grew up in Georgia, and I've been to Covington, and I can tell you the real Mystic Falls is so much more fun than you'd think a small town outside Atlanta could be. The clock tower is right there in the middle of the square, you can eat lunch at the Mystic Grill, there's a replica of the Salvatore living room you can walk into, and the Lockwood mansion is a few minutes away. And this October there's a fan weekend with cast members and a masquerade ball AT the Lockwood mansion. This guide is everything, every address and hour and price, so you can just go.

The short version

Mystic Falls is real. It's Covington, Georgia.

Almost all eight seasons were filmed in Covington and the little towns around it, and so much of it is still there, the square and the Grill and the houses and the bridge (some of it isn't, and chapter 3 tells you which so you don't drive to an empty lot).

Why I built this one

Because it's the fan trip that's easiest to pull off.

You guys, this is one of the easiest fan trips you can take. Fly into Atlanta, drive 48 minutes, and you're standing in Mystic Falls, and most of what you came to see is free from the sidewalk. The paid stuff is a handful of tickets, and chapter 4 tells you what each one gets you into so you can pick.

But the information is EVERYWHERE, in TikToks and old blog posts and fan maps with addresses that don't match, and half of it is out of date. So I checked it all this October, the tour prices and the age rules and the Grill hours and the fan weekend lineup, and I put it in order, so all you have to do is follow it.

One thing before you keep reading

Almost every house from the show is somebody's home. The guide tells you exactly how to see them, from the sidewalk or on a tour that has permission, so Covington keeps loving us back.

What's Inside

Twelve chapters. Every address, every hour, every price I could confirm, and an honest note wherever I couldn't.

Two ways to do this trip

Who's in the car changes everything, so chapter 10 is two guides in one.

The girls trip

Your people, the ones who are Team Damon or Team Stefan

The fan weekend and the masquerade ball, the Salvatore living room, sunset on the Grill's rooftop, and a night in a house from the 1864 flashbacks.

Chapter 5 has who's coming and how the tickets work.

With the family

Half of them haven't seen it and it still works

Underneath it, this is a cute small-town Georgia trip. A scavenger hunt for the cast's stars in the sidewalk, ice cream on the square, a college campus to run around, a swimming hole park, and a 729-foot waterfall if you want a big day.

Chapter 10 has the age rule nobody tells you and the free way to do it.

Chapter 12 turns the other eleven into plans you can follow, every stop in order and every booking flagged.

1

One day

The square, the Grill, the houses and Wickery Bridge, from the airport and back.

3

The weekend

Two nights in Covington with the tour, Whitmore, the bridge, and Madison or Conyers. This is the one I'd do.

4

The fan weekend

The whole fan weekend, with the cast and the masquerade ball and Conyers on the way home.

What you're getting

A website, not a PDF

It lives right here on bellebucket.com behind your login. Nothing to download, nothing to lose in your files app.

Built for your phone

Because you're going to read it standing on the square, not at a desk. Addresses tap straight into maps.

Yours forever, updates included

When a tour changes its price or a new fan weekend gets announced, it updates and you already own it.

Checked this October

Every hour, price and date was checked against the real sites in October 2026, and where I couldn't confirm something it says so instead of guessing.

Questions people ask

Is Mystic Falls a real place?

Not by that name, but yes. It's Covington, Georgia, about 48 minutes from the Atlanta airport, and the square, the clock tower and the Mystic Grill are all there.

Can you go inside the houses?

A few of them, yes, and most of them no, because they're private homes. Chapter 3 has which ones and how to see the rest from the sidewalk.

Can I bring my kids?

Yes! There's one age rule that catches a lot of families (chapter 10 has it), and most of the trip is free from the sidewalk.

When should I go?

October if you can swing it, because of the fan weekend and the fall festival on the square. Chapter 1 has the dates and the calmer weekdays.
