Utah does fall really well and Christmas even better, and honestly the hard part is finding it all, because the corn mazes are on one site and the town Halloween parties are buried on a city calendar and the light shows are on Instagram somewhere. So I'm putting it all in one place, county by county and town by town, with the dates and the prices and the links. Cornbelly's at Thanksgiving Point in Lehi, the Scarecrow Festival in Ashton Gardens, Cross E Ranch and Wheeler Farm Pumpkin Days in Salt Lake, WitchFest at Gardner Village, Hee Haw Farms in Pleasant Grove, the Pumpkin Train in Heber, and the Alpine Loop leaf drive. Every county page lists the town Halloween parties too, and most of those are free.
Luminaria at Thanksgiving Point in Lehi, Temple Square in Salt Lake City (free), Hogle Zoo ZooLights, Lightwalk at Tracy Aviary, Christmas in Color in American Fork and South Jordan, the Lighting of Riverwoods in Provo, the Spanish Fork Festival of Lights, and the Lantern Festival at the aquarium in Draper. The North Pole Express in Heber is the Christmas train and it sells out early.
Most open the second or third weekend of September and run through October 31. Cornbelly's opens September 14, Cross E Ranch and Glen Ray's open September 18, and Hee Haw Farms runs a week later than everyone else, through November 7.
